As we filmed in a highly public place in Sheffield, we needed to make sure that kids weren't captured when filming. We also needed to make sure the actors hadn't got an allergies when handling food for our production.
Endcliffe park had a massive woodland area, which was a risk when filming. We made sure that the actor wasn't close to any branches that could potentially put him at risk. When I filmed this shot Kayna stood near the actor out of frame so that he had extra safety. The fact the actor had a big coat and mask on gave him extra protection.
When doing our risk assessment at Endcliffe, we spotted shattered glass and sharp rocks. The day we filmed this scene it was heavily raining so the group was slippy. We ensured the Billie didn't run too fast and stayed within reach to us.
As said previously, there had been heavy rain so the grass was very slippery and damp, so we made sure that the actors wore boots/trainers in order to meet safe working practices, as well as myself and Kayna. The violence in this scene was staged to look realistic, however this was done by dramatic performance and camera work- no harm was done.
To create the dramatic ending scene we need to make the violence look realistic. However in the production the violence was staged and practiced.
Billie fell to the ground gently and Curt held her slowly so she didn't fall on her head, this wasn't noticeable however when filming as we wanted to create a realistic death.
